Stainless Steel Countertops

Stainless steel countertops may make you think of industrial or restaurant kitchens, but they are also popular in homes as they offer a clean, sophisticated look. As functional as they are elegant, these durable surfaces also provide a strikingly hygienic space for food preparation.

Water left to dry on the surface of these countertops will often temporarily spot the steel. Stainless steel countertops should be dried to prevent water spots. Acids and oils do not bother stainless steel so proper cleaning will prevent stains from ever being a problem. Dish soap works well on stainless steel, as do mild abrasive cleaners.
